Colored Pencil Self Portrait
Students are invited to create self portraits using a combination of colored pencil and graphite. They will take reference photos, edit their photos and use false color to make the rendering process more accessible. Students will transfer their photos to their drawing paper using the grid transfer method and learn to blend and layer colors using colored pencil. Student will also participate in guided discussion about the artwork of Japanese Artist Masato Tsuchiya and the idea of a partially rendered portrait.
